Who doesn't love getting packages? There is just something thrilling about opening your door and seeing the Bzzagent box outside. My day is always instantly made better when I get my bzzkit.
Now, onto the Quaker review!
In my Bzzkit (which I got for free) I got the Oatmeal Squares cereal, Popped rice cakes, Oatmeal Peanut Butter crispy cookies and Real Medleys Peach Almond Multigrain fruit and nut bars.
I got my kit in perfect timing. Right after school and what better way to test products than with after school snacks!
The first thing we tried was the Oatmeal peanut butter crispy cookies.
(Notice the look on my youngest face. That's cookie love right there)
Quaker Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies
These cookies were a lot better then I expected them to be. Sometimes oatmeal cookies bought from the store always seem to fall short of the taste and texture of homemade oatmeal cookies. But these were good. They will not replace my homemade ones, but for something quick and snacky these will do. The crisp of the cookie was perfect. It wasn't one of those really hard ones where you take a bite and the whole thing breaks in half. But it was crumbly so its something best left eaten in the kitchen. I like the fact that they are low in calories and low in fat and they were not overly sweet. My kids loved these, out of the whole box, the cookies were their favorite. However, I would not count these as a "traveling" snack because of the crumbs. I would buy these again for after school snacks.
Quaker Oatmeal Squares Cereal
Now, on to the cereal. Sorry I have no photos of anyone eating this, crazy busy mornings. Out of the whole box this was my least favorite. Don't get me wrong, they are still good but just not something I would crave or keep stocked in the house. They are naturally sweet and I like that they are not covered in frosting. They are sweet enough that the kids like them but they would rather have something else. I am not sure why, but this cereal is a lot better dry than with milk. It makes for an ok quick, small snack to grab a hand full and enjoy them that way. This cereal was not a big hit in my house so I doubt I would ever buy this.
Quaker Real Medleys Fruit and Nut Bars
In my Bzzkit I received the Peach and Almond fruit bars. These were delicious and gone pretty quickly. Gone so fast that I don't have any photos of these being enjoyed either. I am not a fan at all of almonds. When I eat almond joys I pull the almond out and enjoy the coconut goodness. But with these I liked the almond taste in the bar. The fruit smells and taste like its a fresh peach, they were chewy and gave me a little boost of energy for my mornings. These were one of my favorites. But I wouldn't consider these a travel snack either. As good as they are, and they are REALLY good, they are just too sticky. Better to be eaten at home or somewhere you can wash your hands after. I would buy these again.
Quaker Popped Rice Cakes
Now these.... Oh man, THESE were my favorite out of all the entire box. Low in calories, low in fat. Your snack craving is taken care of with just the serving size. In my bzzkit I got the cheddar flavored ones. Not going to lie, a brawl may have broken out between my husband and I. He won and took the bag to work. These are not greasy at all and will take care of a chip craving. I have a lot of those. I love chips and these help with that. Since I have gotten my Bzzkit we have bought 3 more bags. I love these rice cakes. A plus (maybe disturbing) to these little slices of heaven is they kind of look like little slices of brains and because of that they would be perfect for a Halloween snack or a party snack. I would recommend these and continue to buy them. These are the perfect travel snack too.
Well I hope you enjoyed and found my review a little helpful.
Happy Bzzing!!!
